Turning contract review into an attorney's edge

2026

Brand Design, Web Design

Introduction

Real estate attorneys review contracts under enormous time pressure, but trust is the entire currency of their profession — an AI tool that looks like it's trying to replace their expertise, or that hides its reasoning in a black box, would never get adopted no matter how accurate it is. Norde needed a brand that could sit inside a lawyer's workflow without triggering the instinctive resistance attorneys have toward tools that claim to think for them.

Challenge

Real estate attorneys review contracts under enormous time pressure, but trust is the entire currency of their profession an AI tool that looks like it's trying to replace their expertise, or that hides its reasoning in a black box, would never get adopted no matter how accurate it is. Norde needed a brand that could sit inside a lawyer's workflow without triggering the instinctive resistance attorneys have toward tools that claim to think for them.

Strategy

The identity was built around the idea of augmentation positioning Norde as an "ultimate paralegal" that does the tedious first pass so the attorney can spend their time on judgment calls. Every visual and verbal choice reinforced precision over spectacle, nothing that made the tool feel like it was overselling its intelligence. The tone stayed closer to legal-grade software than consumer tech. It is deliberate, restrained, exact.
